Just Once

Posted by WELLA at Tuesday, June 26, 2007
I did my best.. but I guess my best wasn't good enough.... That's my food for a thought this week. I've been through a lot of job interviews, regret letters but still I don't have any job offers. Within this week, I'll be expecting a bad news from the company which I wanted to work for. Negative??? As much as I wanted to think positive, I can't help it. Especially I saw their posted annoucement that they're open house tomorrow for a Teller position. Oh no!!!! I know I did my very best and answered their questions in a professional manner as possible. I don't wanna think anymore that there is someone better than me... hello???? pwede ako naman ung best!!!

i don't know if this might help.. but when i lived in rochester for a summer, i went through temp agencies to place me in a job. they work really fast in placing you in what they think would be a good fit for you and it's always up to you if you want to accept a job offer. it might be one way to get your foot in the door. i know how frustrating it might feel right now -- hubby had to go through the same thing here in cali. he finally went through a temp agency and they placed him in a position immediately. the only drawback is that you have to complete so many hours before the company hires you as a direct employee. hubby will hopefully become regularized this july, fingers crossed. so check it out and you never know, you might even be placed in higher positions that you're trying out for. wish i could give you names of the agencies i worked with bec. they were all so nice. but then again, that was about 10 years ago, LOL. good luck!

I can't remember specifically which ones I liked best but all these are familiar to me: Manpower, LEIDERS, Kelly, Corestaff, Office Team, Express Personnel. Also try office Team and Accounttemps. And I'm not sure what kind of "cut" you're talking about but they don't charge any fees at all when you work with these temp agencies. You get the basic "cut" that everyone else does when they get their paycheck. And the reason you don't get any extra "cut" or fees from the agency themselves is bec. the agencies are charging the companies for finding people to fill work positions -- so you're not affected :). So definitely take advantage of the agencies because they are there for YOU!
