Its been a month

1 month na ko dito. Happy coz no stress, doing everything, sleep and wake up late, eat anytime...hehehe. Kinda sad coz no money meaning no kikay stuffs, bored. Well anyway, im taking my time so as of now Im busy with my digital scrapping masterpieces and I discovered this site... Singshot its videoke online with matching video of yourself while singing. Kewl!!!!!! Papaka-diva muna ako!!! ahehehe... My mic here i think has a problem kya di tuloy ako makapag-record... kainis!!!

Im still pinoy

I finally got my green card. So weird coz its not green in color, its light pink...hehehe. According to the immigration officer at the port of entry, I'll receive it around 3 to 5 months. But, I just got it in a month. I already have a proof that Im authorize to work here. Im just waiting for my state ID which I think will be delivered by next month. All I need now is a job! hehehe..

I didnt make it...

I received a call from the HR department of Mayo Clinic. As expected, I didn't get the job. According to them, I have a potential in a larger office and still encourages me to apply again in their department. What the!!! Anyways, I know that there's a good opportunity for me. Not at this moment but i know sooner or later. My consolation was that Im so blessed that I have a very supportive husband. He believes that I can do better than the others. That's love!!! hehehe...

Interview with the COO

I had my interview today as a part-time Teller with the Chief Operation Officer and Branch Manager of Mayo Employee Credit Union (its an exclusive bank that caters Mayo Clinic employees only). Im kinda nervous since its been a long time sine i had a another interview. But they are very approachable and nice people, they made me at ease and relax during the interview. Most question are based on my work experiences, not much with a personal informations. Im trying not to get tongue twisted. So far, It turned out well. The HR will call me by next week if I got the job or not. Well atleast I know if im qualified or not with feedback.. no false hope. My husband keeps on saying that no one will get that job except me. We'll see.

Spiderman Fever

The much awaited Spiderman 3 is now on theaters. I think 2 weeks before it was shown, some tv stations keeps on airing Spiderman 1 and 2 over and over again. As in the whole night, its all spiderman. My husband and I just watched it today... hehehe.. There are lots of movies we're looking forward to watch... naka-line up na in short like Shrek the Third, Transformers, Fantastic Four, Evan Almighty, Ratatouille, Pirates of the Carribbean, Underdog, Harry Potter (not sure with this...Im not a fan of Harry Potter and so my husband). Back to spiderman 3, I must say another 2 thumbs up. *clap clap clap*

Job Hunting

Im exactly 2 weeks here in Rochester and it seems that im bored already... well not with my husband. All I did the whole afternoon and almost everyday is checking my emails, watching TV shows or DVDs, ambushing our ref, browsing the internet... sometimes cleaning up our mess.

Now my mission is to get a job. Most job openings here are good for part-time thou they have full-time but limited to my work preferences. IBM and Mayo Clinic here are one of the best known companies here in our area. Im a computer science graduate and its better if I got a job in IBM, but so disappointing that their qualifications was out for me. Why? all my major subjects in college blew up from my head... gggrrr! I dont even remember the syntax used for that particular computer language! Hmmm... nevermind :(

Im not picky, but I just want a job that I will enjoy and have a self satisfaction. So just wish me luck...

A week

Im exactly one week here in USA.. and i had so many observations and discoveries.

1. In driving, they're very careful with the traffic rules. As in super discipline... bawal ang kaskasero at gahaman sa kalsada! hehehe! And also in a pedestrian they have all the rights.

2. The sun comes down around 8pm. Imagine, your having your dinner ang liwanag pa.

3. There's a self counter in a supermarket. You just scan your stuffs, swipe your card and your done.

4. You can leave your car with an open window. In short, walang carnapping!

5. In a lingerie section, the 1st thing you can see is the 38D sizes of bra.

6. Large orders of food. Ay naku, nasasayang lang sken ung ibang food... busog kagad eh.. hehehe...

I guess this is for now... hehehe...

Im already here

I'm so happy kse I can bring this to the states. Also my Kuya and Ate who are going abroad. Actually ngyon lang sken nag-sink in ung pictures, and when I looked at it.. I cried. Imagine, nagkaroon kme ng chance na makumpleto kme. We had so much fun kanina... ay naku, I'll miss the sigawan tlga.. kse sobrang ingay talaga namen. Katumbas namen isang barangay. I was planning to have a studio pic of us.. wish ko lang eh matuloy! hehehe...
