Cake decorating

I found a new hobby... cake decorating . I love watching Ace of cakes in food network, love magazines about cakes, love books how to bake a cake but not eating a cake. Weird pero true, di ako mahilig sa cake unless its a chocolate flavor and pili pa. I like making some deserts pero I don't have a sweet tooth. Di ko rin tinitikman while making one, after na lang, basta tanchahan na lang kung sa tingin ko sweet na. Anyway, back to my new hobby. I wanna try making cupcakes. Why cupcakes? Kase small size lang, di man masarap di nakakahinayang.. hehehe... and as a beginner, sa maliit muna. Besides, I love cupcakes specially when its decorated.

That's why this was my wedding cake instead of a traditional one.

And instead of cake cutting, cake biting.. mas sweet di ba.. hehehe. Well aside from that, everybody will enjoy it.. yun nga lang kinulang.

So I went to hobby lobby to buy things that I need. Muffin pan, pastry bag, icing tips, spatula, paper cups, coupler. I already have my recipe, the cake and the frosting. The result... tada!

Eto ang palpak. Nilagay ko kagad ung frosting.. excited ako eh... eh mainit pa ung cupcake, ayan natunaw..

Pero sympre, ginawan ko ng paraan...

The taste? Hindi ko pa alam... tagal kumain nung tester ko eh... pero sabi nya parang pro daw.. hanep... and since it looks good daw, for sure pati lasa... naxxx pakiss nga jan.. nyahaha

And by the way, I already bought him a gift.. at buti na lang kasama ko sya kase dapat brown leather ung bibilhin ko, but he likes black. Ayan may gift na ko.. hehehe..

I touch it

Last night, pagdating ko sa bahay from work, I saw this paper on top of our dinner table. Huwatttt... ano ito? Ayan may surprise sken ang aking mahal na esposo. Sa likod pla nyang paper don nakatago ung gift. Actually wala tlga akong idea pero naisip ko ung blackberry curve phone. Kase sabi nya sken yun ang gift nya sken this year kaya lang he needs to wait after 7 months kase matatapos na ung contract nmen sa T-mobile, mas makakamura sya. Hindi na nga daw surprise yun kase sinabi nya sken.

When I grabbed the paper, ito ang bumulaga sken... si John Lennon! Sympre ang tanga ko naman kase di ko talaga mahulaan kung ano.

Until nakita ko 'tong side na 'to....

Actually ako dapat ang bibili nito for myself. Kase last weekend when we dropped by sa Bestbuy, mega pindot pindot ako nito sa display nila. Basta nagpapaka-ignorante talaga ako sa pagpipindot. Nangangati na ang kamay ko na bumili, pero inhale and exhale lang ako sabay layas sa store. Dinedemonyo nga ako ni Nikky na bilin ko. Nasa tamang pag-iisip ako non eh, kaya di ko binili.

Talagang na surprise ako, to think sa December pa ang birthday ko. Hello to earth naman si Nikky at sobrang advance ha. Sabi ko pa nga, pano yan wala na kong bubuksan na birthday/christmas gift sa pasko. Balutin daw nya tapos, tatago nya. Lalabas na lang daw nya pag-christmas na. Ano ba! Pero sabi nya, don't worry iba pa rin yung christmas gift... yipee!!! Hala! Bigla naman akong napressure kase birthday ni Nikky next month. At tama ba naman na until now di pa rin ako decided kung ano ibibigay sa kanya. Nakrung krung naman ako ng bonggang bongga. Meron pa kong 2 weeks para mag-esep esep

Chicago Trip part 2

After 2 weeks, we're back again to Chicago. Di naman ako atat masyado. We stayed at the hotel at the Staybridge Suites at the Schaumburg (25 minutes to the downtown) the whole saturday, para may energy ng Sunday. True enough ang dami kong energy kase we bought the city pass ticket na may 5 passes for all the city attractions. Too bad di naman natapos, 1 lang ung di namen napuntahan ung Museum of Science and Industry. Pero ok lang, atleast na-accomplished ko ung mission ko na malibot ang downtown.

Sunday na.. yipeee!!! First stop, The Sears Tower. Before kme umakyat sa 103rd floor, we watched first a short clip about the history of that building.

Second, The Adlers Planetarium. I remember nung grade 2 ata ako non nagfield trip kme sa Planetarium, I wonder kung bukas pa rin ung planetarium na yun.

Next, Field Museum. Dito nakita ni Nikky ung mga kamag-anak nya... hahaha.

Last, The Shedd Aquarium. We weren't able to watch the shows kase almost 5pm na kme nakapasok. The last 3 magkakasama sa iisang area. Pero ung Sears and Museum of Science and Industry, sa ibang streets sila.


We really had so much fun. Its a good weather kaya perfect vacation talaga.

What's next? Florida, California, Las Vegas, Colorado? Daming naka-line-up kase lahat ng kamag-anak ko nanjan sa mga lugar na yan eh. Gusto nila na makita nila ako... asus! No problem na sa tutulugan namen, ang problema walang pera sa plane ticket. Ayaw na namen by car kase days na ang bibilangin namen not hours. Hehehe...
